An Experienced Divorce Lawyer that you can trust.

Whitney Thwaites

You feel lost.

I am here to help you find direction and purpose.

You are facing major changes in your life. Something has gone wrong in your marriage. You can’t make it right. You know that a divorce is in your future.

You need to do something, and you don’t know what to do. You want to know the questions that you should be asking and the answers to those questions.

Divorce is huge — even after you have made the decision or your spouse has made the decision for you. You realize that you need an experienced lawyer to help you. That’s what I do.

My educational background parallels that of many other lawyers — an undergraduate degree in political science (from the College of Charleston) leading to a subsequent law degree (from the University of South Carolina). I’m proud to be from a family of lawyers. I learned from my Father and others the importance of listening intensely to what a client says and acting intentionally to achieve what the client wants.

I have dedicated my legal career to serving people, like you. I will help you survive your divorce and thrive as you move to a better life after divorce.

Your divorce is unique. No one else has ever been in your situation. We will start with me listening to your story — where have you been, how did you get here, and where do you want to go. We will then develop a divorce timeline to keep your case moving forward, and we will focus on the future that you want for you and your children.

Since I work with the largest team of family law attorneys and paralegals in the Charleston area, we are able to combine our respective strengths for your maximum benefit while minimizing the disruption to your life. We will treat your spouse with respect because that is the best way to minimize your emotional pain and financial cost. However, if your spouse chooses to be unreasonable, we have the trial experience and knowledge of the judges that you will want and need to get what is fair.

Let’s get started now. Please call me now at 843-631-7117. If it’s not convenient for you to call me, you can write me directly at [email protected].

I’m looking forward to hearing from you soon.
