What are you doing this New Year’s Eve? If you’re like many families in Charleston, you might be heading downtown to “Happy New Year Charleston!”
This community celebration is a much-loved tradition in the area for good reasons. “Happy New Year Charleston!” is a free, family-oriented series of events that celebrate the beginning of the New Year.
You and your children will love the variety of activities and performances at the celebration. From comedy to African dancing, from classical to gospel music, there is something for just about everyone. Of course, children’s activities will also be present.
Happy New Year Charleston will take place in Marion Square and surrounding Charleston locations on New Year’s Eve from 4 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Parking for the event will be free for two hours if you print the Holiday Magic in Historic Charleston Parking Voucher and present it at participating downtown garages.
I encourage you to join your family, friends, and neighbors at this exciting event! What better way to ring in the New Year than with the Charleston community? And even better, there is still time after the event to attend your other holiday parties or stay up late to watch the ball drop in Times Square.
