Meet Evan Smith
Born and raised in Charleston, Evan is a dedicated South Carolina family law attorney whose practice focuses almost exclusively on matters in the family courts, including divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, and property division. After graduating from Clemson University, he returned home to earn his Juris Doctor from the Charleston School of Law.
During law school, Evan was a founding member of the Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honor Society and actively participated in numerous pro bono family-law service programs. These early experiences reinforced his commitment to helping individuals and families navigate complex and emotionally challenging legal issues.
Evan’s passion for family law led him to open his own firm in Historic Charleston in 2016, where he built a reputation for strong advocacy, practical guidance, and compassionate representation. He now brings that extensive experience to The Peck Firm, L.L.C. continuing his mission to help clients protect their families, their future, and their peace of mind.
Evan lives in Mount Pleasant with his wife, Hayley, their son, Padraig, twin daughters, Kathleen and Delaney, and their golden retriever, Chappy. Outside the office, he enjoys family time, golf, travel, and cheering for the Clemson Tigers.
