Every year since 1995, Ken Peck has received the Martindale-Hubbell® AV® Preeminent™ rating. This is the highest possible rating that an attorney can achieve in both ethical standards and legal ability.
Martindale-Hubbell® is a platform for attorneys to peer review and rate one another, providing the public with a ranking system of the best in the legal industry. In order to attain this high honor, an attorney is reviewed by other attorneys in similar practice areas. The reviewers are all members of the bar and the judiciary; in other words, they are either lawyers or judges. Peers first review their colleague on adherence to professional standards of conduct and ethics. If the colleague receives a “very high” rating, he or she is then rated on legal ability. This ability is judged based on five different areas:
- Legal knowledge
- Analytical capabilities
- Communication ability
- Legal experience
Ken Peck is a divorce lawyer located in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. He has been practicing law for over 30 years. Ken has been recognized for his empathy. Day after day, he works with people who are hurting, yet his compassion for his clients is still as strong and genuine as it was from day one of his practice.
A big part of his ability to empathize comes from his first-hand experience with divorce. He knows what it is like to go through a divorce because he has been through this terrible experience himself. Yet, at the same time, he knows it is possible to get through it and to emerge a healthier, happier person—something he helps his clients do every single day.
In addition to creating comprehensive divorce settlements that are the best fit for his clients and their families, Ken has also served as a valuable source of information for his local community and for his peers. He is constantly reading and researching about divorce law in South Carolina and the nation, expanding his knowledge of his professional field. He brings his insights and findings to his readers through this blog and his several “guides.”
