Meet Kristina L. Jarvis
Divorce is a beginning – not an end – to your life.
Now is the time when you get to “flip the switch” and reinvent yourself with a new life. Your divorce can mark the end of an unhappy phase of your life and the start of a happier time. I am here to help you find hope, as we develop a plan for your life after your marriage.
Your “family” will not be defined by your marital status. You will have a family as long as your children and you shall live. With my 18 years of experience as a divorce and child custody attorney, I will help you build an even stronger relationship with your children.
Divorce will change many things in your life. At times, those changes may seem overwhelming and unending to you. You will be confronted by a complex and confusing set of legal terms and concepts, like equitable division of marital property, alimony, child support, parenting plans, child custody, and much more. You will be challenged to decide who will keep the marital home, retirement plans, and other marital assets in your divorce.
The good news is that the divorce stress will end. Things will get easier as we work together. I will work closely with you to obtain an outcome that will be fair to you and your spouse.
I have devoted my entire legal career to helping people – like you — with divorce and family law problems. After graduating from the University of South Carolina in 1994, and from the Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology in 1999, I worked as a lawyer in Chicago. I represented people, like you, who found themselves in difficult, high-pressure situations. I learned how to fight for equitable division of property in multi-million dollar marital estates. I will use this experience to help you.
Family law is the one area of law in which I can change peoples’ lives for the better and for decades to come. Knowing that gives meaning and purpose to my life.
I thrive on helping people who are facing the most challenging moments in their lives. I would be honored if you placed your trust in me. I devote myself to your case.
I joined the Peck Law Firm because I wanted to be part of a team of skilled divorce attorneys and paralegals. Each of us is committed to the cause of helping people when they need it the most. Through our many decades of combined experience and utilization of cutting-edge computer technology, we are able to provide the legal services that people need in a life crisis.
Now, I want to help you. I will listen as you tell me where you are and where you want to go for the rest of your life.
