Patriots Point 4th of July Blast Returns

Charleston, SC Fireworks | The Peck FirmIt’s that time of year again: the Patriots Point 4th of July Blast returns, with a line-up of events sure to entertain the entire family!

The day and night of fun kicks off at the landside of the Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum, with children’s activities opening at 4 p.m.

Until the fireworks show starts, you and your family can enjoy the event’s live music, which starts at 5 p.m. Lots of food will be available for purchase, including hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken fingers, barbeque, pizza, snow cones, popcorn, and multiple beverage options.

The fireworks are set to begin around 9 p.m. once it is dark.

You have the option to watch the fireworks from two different areas. You can watch for free from the landside of the museum. Alternatively, you can buy a ticket to enjoy the fireworks from the Flight Deck of the USS Yorktown. Tickets cost $30 for adults. Children 11 years of age and younger are admitted free.

Parking costs $10 per vehicle, regardless of whether you purchase tickets to view from the deck of the Yorktown. I recommend getting there early because parking is first come, first served.

Outside food and beverages will not be allowed on the Flight Deck or pier, so plan accordingly.

I encourage you and your family to attend the best fireworks display in the Charleston area: you won’t be disappointed! This event is a resident favorite, with hundreds of Charleston and Mt. Pleasant community members in attendance every year.
